Amazonas Legislature Held 34 Sessions in Early 2026: Deputy Absences ReportedThe Assembleia Legislativa do Amazonas (Aleam) conducted 34 ordinary plenary sessions and eight agendas during the first four months of 2026, according to official data. The period also saw deputies accumulating absences, all of which were registered as justified within the House's system.

As reported by Rede Amazônica, the deputy with the most absences was Roberto Cidade (União Brasil), who missed 13 sessions. This is partly explained by his assumption of the Government of Amazonas in April. Daniel Almeida (Avante) followed with 11 absences, while Wilker Barreto (PSD) had 10.

Several other deputies recorded multiple absences during the period. Thiago Abrahim (MDB) and Cabo Maciel (PL) each had 6 absences. A group of deputies, including Carlinhos Bessa (União Brasil), Dr. George Lins (União Brasil), João Luiz (Republicanos), and Mário César Filho (União Brasil), each had 5 absences.

Additionally, deputies Abdala Fraxe (Avante), Adjuto Afonso (União Brasil), Alessandra Campêlo (PSD), Dra. Mayara Pinheiro (Republicanos), and Rozenha (PSD) each recorded 4 absences during the first four months of the year.
