Belém's weekend cultural agenda features the historic return of Arraial do Pavulagem to Theatro da Paz, a samba recording session, a Bob Marley tribute, and more free and ticketed events.

Belém is set for a vibrant cultural weekend, with a packed agenda of shows, festivals, and performances catering to diverse tastes. The highlight is undoubtedly the return of the beloved group Arraial do Pavulagem to the historic Theatro da Paz, a venue they haven't performed in for over two decades. Their show, titled 'Bandeira de Guarnição,' marks the launch of their new EP and symbolizes a significant reunion with the iconic theater.

The event is scheduled for Sunday, the 10th, at 19h. Tickets are available at the theater's box office, which operates from Tuesday to Friday between 9h and 18h, and on weekends from 9h to 12h. This performance is a major draw for fans of local music and marks the beginning of the junina festival season in the city.

Another major musical event is the 'Samba das Mangueiras' recording session with singer and composer Arthur Espíndola. This event, taking place on Saturday, the 9th, at the Mercado de São Brás starting at 19h, will capture the energy of the popular samba circle that has become one of Belém's most bustling gatherings. The repertoire will include major hits and original songs, some of which are previously unheard. Best of all, entry is free.

For fans of international music, the 'Bob Marley Day' tribute offers a family-friendly celebration of the reggae king. Organized for National Reggae Day, the event takes place on Saturday at Praça Dom Alberto Ramos in Marambaia, starting at 16h30. The free-entry event will feature DJs specializing in roots and reggae, alongside a food court, artisan fair, and a children's play area.

The weekend also includes a special Mother's Day dinner-dance event called 'Mamãe Vai Dançar' on Friday, the 8th, at Assembleia Paraense. For R$250 per person, guests can enjoy a complete Italian buffet and live music from the band Ladies Night, performing hits from Madonna to Dua Lipa. Tickets and table reservations are available through the Festa de Nazaré directory.

For those seeking a different vibe, the LGBTQIAPN+ scene celebrates seven years of the 'Festa Dom' with a special edition featuring DJ Clementaum, known as 'LA MAYOR,' on Friday at Açaí Biruta. The event promises a mix of electronic, pop, and funk music, with tickets starting at R$60. Meanwhile, the Museu das Amazônias (MAZ) hosts its 'MAZ Música' project on Friday evening, offering free performances of brega, bolero, and lambada, preceded by a dance workshop.

Additional highlights include the debut of singer Nivea Mendes' show 'Vestígios' at Theatro Waldemar Henrique on Friday, a performance by the viral Trimanos Brasil brothers at Cervejaria Caboca on Saturday, and the 'BBQ Fest Veloway' in Outeiro, featuring high-end barbecue and live music.
