TFF Appeals Board confirms 3-match ban for Fenerbahçe GK Ederson for insulting referee after red card, plus 480,000 TL fine. Galatasaray fined 700K TL.

The Turkish Football Federation's (TFF) Appeals Board has upheld a significant disciplinary decision against Fenerbahçe's goalkeeper, Ederson. The board confirmed the three-match suspension originally handed down by the Professional Football Disciplinary Committee (PFDK). The ban stems from Ederson's actions following his dismissal from a match, where he was found guilty of insulting the match referee after receiving a second yellow card.

In addition to the match ban, the Appeals Board also upheld a substantial financial penalty. Ederson has been ordered to pay a fine of 480,000 Turkish Lira. This combined punishment underscores the TFF's strict stance on player conduct towards match officials, particularly in the aftermath of a sending-off incident.

The board's rulings extended beyond the Fenerbahçe case. In a separate decision, Galatasaray was also hit with a major financial penalty. The Appeals Board confirmed a total fine of 700,000 Turkish Lira for the club, levied for various unspecified infractions. This decision adds to the financial burdens faced by the Istanbul giants.

Decisions were also made concerning the Trendyol 1. Lig. Manisa FK player Yasin Güreler saw his two-match suspension confirmed. The ban was imposed for a serious foul committed against an opponent, highlighting the league's commitment to player safety.

Furthermore, Bandırmaspor's Technical Director, Mustafa Gürsel, received a touchline ban. He is prohibited from entering the dressing room and technical area for three official matches. This sanction was issued for insulting the match referees both before and after his expulsion from a game, along with a 40,000 TL fine.

Finally, Amed Sportif Faaliyetler faced mixed results from the board's review. While a 266,000 TL fine for various violations was upheld, the club received a partial reprieve on another charge. The penalty for improperly admitting spectators into the stadium was reduced from 310,000 TL to 150,000 TL.
