Russian tennis player Alina Korneeva, currently ranked world No. 122, has been eliminated from the WTA 1000 tournament in Rome after a first-round defeat.
Korneeva was defeated by Hungarian player Panna Udvardy, who holds a world ranking of No. 71. The loss means Korneeva will not advance to the second round of the prestigious clay-court event.
