Non-Venomous Snake Safely Removed From Brazilian University Computer LabIn an unusual campus incident, a non-venomous snake, locally known as a falsa-coral, was discovered inside a computer laboratory at the Instituto Federal de Mato Grosso (IFMT) campus in Confresa, Brazil.
The Military Fire Department was called to the scene to handle the situation. Responding officers successfully captured the reptile without incident. Following standard wildlife safety protocols, the snake was transported and released in a forested area located at a safe distance from the urban zone.
The falsa-coral is a species commonly found in the region and is known for its resemblance to the highly venomous coral snake, though it is harmless to humans. The rescue operation ensured the safety of both the campus community and the animal.
