PSG rest four key players including Hakimi, Zaire-Emery, Pacho, and Mendes for Sunday's Ligue 1 match vs Brest to preserve fitness and give youngsters a chance.

PSG will be without four first-team regulars for their Ligue 1 clash against Brest on Sunday evening as manager Luis Enrique continues his policy of rotating his squad. The Parisian side, who are on the verge of securing yet another league title, have chosen to rest key players to manage their workload ahead of a busy schedule.

Achraf Hakimi, Warren Zaïre-Emery, Willian Pacho, and Nuno Mendes have all been left out of the squad. Hakimi and Pacho are nursing thigh issues, while Zaïre-Emery is dealing with a back problem. Mendes also has a thigh complaint. Their absence means that several youngsters could be given a chance to shine, following the recent debut of 18-year-old Pierre Mounguengue against Lorient.

Luis Enrique has been consistent throughout the season in protecting his star players during Ligue 1 fixtures. The Spanish coach only makes an exception for midfielder Vitinha, who continues to feature regularly. This approach is designed to prevent physical burnout and keep the squad fresh for crucial Champions League encounters.

The decision to rest these players opens the door for academy graduates to step up. Mounguengue, who made his first-team debut last week in the 2-2 draw with Lorient, could feature again. Other young talents may also be included in the matchday squad as PSG look to balance domestic dominance with European ambitions.

PSG currently lead the Ligue 1 standings and are closing in on their fifth consecutive league title, which would be the 12th in the last 14 seasons. A victory against Brest would further cement their position at the top and bring them closer to the championship trophy. Kick-off is scheduled for 21:00 local time at the Parc des Princes.
