Raja Jackson, the 26-year-old mixed martial artist and son of former UFC champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, has reached a plea agreement with prosecutors concerning a violent assault on independent wrestler Stuart Smith, known professionally as Psycho Sycho. The deal was confirmed by the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office.
During a preliminary hearing, Jackson pleaded guilty to one felony count of assault with force likely to produce great bodily injury. He also admitted to two special allegations: personally inflicting great bodily injury and engaging in aggressive behavior. This plea effectively closes his criminal case.
The sentencing hearing is scheduled for late June. Prosecutors have indicated the expected sentence is 90 days of actual time in county jail. In addition to incarceration, Jackson will be required to pay $81,703.38 in restitution to the victim and serve two years of formal probation. The restitution must be paid prior to sentencing.
The violent incident occurred on August 23, 2025, at a Knokx Pro Wrestling event in Los Angeles. The event was being streamed live on the Kick platform. Jackson entered the ring during the show and cornered Smith, then mounted the disoriented wrestler and delivered over 20 punches to his head before other wrestlers intervened and pulled him away.
The attack left Smith in critical condition. He suffered severe head trauma, injuries to both his upper and lower jaws, a laceration to his upper lip, and a fractured maxillary bone. The assault resulted in the loss of several of his teeth. Smith was hospitalized for approximately one week following the attack.
To aid in his recovery, Smith launched a crowdfunding campaign on a popular platform. The campaign was successful, raising nearly $225,000 from supporters to help cover his medical expenses and rehabilitation costs.
Jackson had previously maintained his innocence regarding the charges before ultimately deciding to accept the plea deal offered by prosecutors. The case has drawn significant attention due to the severity of the assault and Jackson's familial connection to one of MMA's most famous figures.
