Rangers head coach Danny Röhl has firmly stated his commitment to the club, dismissing links to Wolfsburg and emphasizing his goal to win titles at Ibrox.

Rangers manager Danny Röhl has moved to quash speculation about his future, declaring his complete dedication to the Ibrox project. The 37-year-old German coach, who took charge of the Gers in October, has been the subject of reported interest from Bundesliga side Wolfsburg. However, speaking ahead of a crucial Old Firm derby, Röhl made his intentions crystal clear.

"My full focus is on Rangers," Röhl stated emphatically. He downplayed the significance of the rumors, noting that such speculation is a constant in football management. "I look back last year with how many clubs I was linked, I could get maybe 20 jobs in the newspaper," he remarked, indicating his experience with such situations.

The coach revealed that his recent discussions with the Rangers board have been entirely forward-looking and centered on a single objective. "Even the last couple of days our conversations with the club goes just in one direction, how we can win titles with the club in the future," he explained. This aligns with his stated ambition when he first joined the club.

When directly asked if he would be in the dugout at Ibrox next season, Röhl responded with unwavering certainty. "From my side, of course, 100 per cent. I'm convinced. I chose this club for the reason to bring it back to success and win titles," he affirmed. He acknowledged the club's recent history, pointing out that in the last 15 years, Rangers haven't achieved what they should have, and he sees changing that as a core part of his mission.

Röhl reflected on the progress made during his tenure so far, highlighting an elevation of standards over the past six months. He also candidly addressed the recent dip in form, with back-to-back Premiership defeats increasing pressure. "In the last seven days we couldn't and I think this is a big part in our future," he admitted, framing the setback as a learning opportunity.

Looking ahead, the manager expressed strong motivation for the upcoming season and the immediate challenge of the Old Firm clash at Celtic Park. He described the derby as a "special game" requiring no extra motivation, with the team determined to make their supporters proud. Rangers need a victory to keep alive their hopes of finishing second and securing Champions League qualification.

Röhl drew confidence from their last visit to Parkhead, which resulted in a 3-1 victory. He used it as an example of the team's resilience and ability to adapt. "We showed we can do that. That's when we really felt the belief that even when things don't go right in a game we can turn them in the right direction," he concluded, setting the stage for a high-stakes encounter.
