Rondônia Governor Exonerates Police Director After Drug ArrestThe governor of Rondônia, Colonel Marcos Rocha (PSD), has exonerated Lieutenant Colonel Davi Machado de Alencar from his position as Executive Director of the State Secretariat of Heritage and Land Regularization (Sepat). The dismissal came just three days after the military police officer was arrested in the state of Paraná.

According to the official report, Lt. Col. Alencar was caught in possession of more than 300 vials of irregular weight-loss medications at the time of his arrest. The exoneration applies specifically to his commissioned position (CDS) within the state secretariat.

Despite his removal from the Sepat directorship, the officer retains his rank and position as a Lieutenant Colonel within the Polícia Militar de Rondônia (PM-RO). The case has drawn attention to the conduct of public officials holding dual roles in state administration and military police service.
