Dynamo Moscow's general director Pavel Pivovarov expressed disappointment after their Russian Cup penalty shootout loss to Krasnodar, but vowed to seek revenge in their upcoming league match on Monday.

Moscow Dynamo's general director, Pavel Pivovarov, has set his sights on immediate redemption following a heartbreaking penalty shootout defeat to Krasnodar in the Russian Cup final. The match, which ended 0-0 after regular time, saw Krasnodar advance 6-5 on penalties at the Ozon Arena in Krasnodar.

Speaking to journalist Spartak Petrosyan from Чемпионат.com, Pivovarov conveyed the team's disappointment but remained focused on the future. "The emotions are sad. Unfortunately, our journey in the Russian Cup has ended, although in this round we played no worse than our opponent," he stated. "But penalties are a lottery. Krasnodar advances to the Superfinal, while we..."

The director quickly shifted focus to the immediate challenges ahead. Dynamo has two remaining matches in the Mir Russian Premier League season, and Pivovarov emphasized the team's determination to compete for victories in both. The first of these crucial fixtures is a direct rematch against Krasnodar, scheduled for Monday, May 11.

This upcoming league encounter will take place at Dynamo's home ground, the VTB Arena – Central Dynamo Stadium named after Lev Yashin in Moscow. It represents the 29th round of the Mir Russian Premier League and offers Dynamo a swift opportunity to avenge their cup disappointment.

Pivovarov made it clear that the team's season evaluation will wait until all competitions conclude. "We have two matches left in the championship where we will play to win. We will try to take revenge on Monday. It's too early to evaluate the season—it's not over yet," he added.

The original cup final was officiated by referee Artem Chistyakov from Azov. Despite the loss, Dynamo's leadership maintains confidence in the squad's performance and looks forward to finishing the domestic campaign on a positive note.
