A helicopter owned by the famous Brazilian sertanejo music duo Henrique and Juliano crashed on Friday morning, May 8th, on one of their rural properties in Porto Nacional, Tocantins. The incident, classified by the artists' team as an emergency landing, occurred in the central region of the state.

According to the Tocantins Fire Department, three people were aboard the aircraft at the time of the crash: a couple and the pilot. Two of the occupants sustained minor injuries in the accident. Dramatic images from the scene showed the helicopter suspended in a tree after the incident.

The pilot was identified as Edson Reis, the father of the famous singers. The duo's press office confirmed that Reis is an experienced aviator and, fortunately, did not suffer any serious injuries. He is reported to be in good health following the emergency.

Crucially, neither Henrique nor Juliano were inside the helicopter when it went down. The artists were not present on the flight, which was traveling to their family farm in the state.

The Military Police of Tocantins have stated they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. The news outlet g1 also reached out to the Center for the Investigation and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents (Cenipa) for an official comment on the aeronautical incident but had not received a response at the time of reporting.

This is not the first time the duo's aerial activities have made headlines. Previously, Juliano drew attention on social media for piloting a private jet valued at approximately R$80 million, which was seen landing at the family's farm in Tocantins after a show in Piauí.
