Man Arrested After Holding Resident Hostage in Piracicaba Robbery AttemptA man was arrested on Tuesday (5) in Piracicaba, São Paulo, after holding a resident hostage during an attempted robbery at a home in the Morato neighborhood, according to the Military Police (PM).
Authorities were called to the scene and located the suspect inside a residential condominium. Officers successfully detained him within the residence.
According to the PM report, the suspect gained entry to the condominium with the assistance of an employee. He then invaded a house and took the victim hostage.
The man was arrested for robbery and illegal possession of a firearm. Police seized a .22 caliber revolver and ammunition from the suspect.
