Ligue Tchèque

The Czech Liga, officially known as the Chance Liga for sponsorship reasons, is the premier professional football league in the Czech Republic and the pinnacle of the Czech football league system. Established in 1993 following the dissolution of Czechoslovakia and the subsequent split of the Czechoslovak First League, the competition has grown into a respected and competitive tournament in Central European football. Its history is deeply intertwined with the nation's sporting identity, building on a rich footballing tradition from the former unified state. The league operates on a standard round-robin format, currently featuring 16 teams. Each club plays every other team twice, once at home and once away, for a total of 30 matches per season.
