Feira de Santana and Vitória da Conquista are opening temporary units to issue Brazil's new National Identity Card, significantly boosting monthly capacity starting next Monday.

Residents of Feira de Santana and Vitória da Conquista are getting a major assist in obtaining their new National Identity Card (CIN). Starting next Monday, May 11th, both cities will host temporary service units to handle the high demand for the new document, a move that promises to dramatically increase the number of people served each month.

This initiative is part of the National Program for Promotion of Management and Issuance of the National Identity Card, known as ProCIN. The program aims to streamline the process and make the new ID more accessible to the public by setting up these dedicated, temporary locations within state schools in the two municipalities.

The numbers behind this expansion are impressive. Over the next six months, a total of 59,400 new CINs are slated for issuance through these units. Feira de Santana will receive the lion's share with 39,600 cards, while Vitória da Conquista is set to issue 19,800. This represents a substantial boost to the existing infrastructure.

For Feira de Santana, the impact is a game-changer. The city's monthly issuance capacity at its SAC service centers is projected to jump by an incredible 82.91%, soaring from 7,960 to 14,560 appointments per month. Vitória da Conquista also sees a significant upgrade, with its monthly output increasing by 60.89%, from 5,420 to 8,720 cards.

In Feira de Santana, the temporary service will kick off at two locations. The first is the Colégio Estadual de Tempo Integral Carolina Maria de Jesus, located in the Tomba neighborhood. The second is the Instituto Estadual de Tempo Integral Gastão Guimarães, situated in the city center.

Over in Vitória da Conquista, the service will be consolidated at a single, central point: the Colégio Estadual de Tempo Integral, which was formerly known as the Abdias Menezes school, in the Candeias neighborhood.

Operating hours for these new units are set for Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Service will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis, with a limited number of tickets distributed each day. Officials have noted that if demand proves to be exceptionally high, the service could be expanded to include Saturdays as well.
