A motorcyclist died in a fatal accident involving a bus and a truck on the Rio-Santos Highway in Ubatuba, São Paulo. The crash occurred during slow traffic on Friday morning.

A tragic accident on the Rio-Santos Highway (BR-101) in Ubatuba, on the North Coast of São Paulo, resulted in the death of a motorcyclist on Friday morning. The fatal collision involved a motorcycle, a bus, and a truck, occurring in a section of the road known for heavy traffic.

According to the Federal Highway Police, the incident took place around 8:00 AM at kilometer 50.3 of the highway, in the lane heading towards Rio de Janeiro. Traffic in the area was reported to be moving slowly at the time of the crash.

The sequence of events began when vehicles ahead came to a sudden stop, causing a chain-reaction pile-up. The motorcyclist was caught between the bus and the truck during this congestion and was fatally crushed in the impact.

Emergency services responded to the scene, but the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the location. The drivers of both the bus and the truck involved in the accident were unharmed.

As part of the standard investigation protocol, both drivers were administered breathalyzer tests. The results indicated that neither driver had consumed alcohol prior to the accident.

Authorities have launched a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash. The Civil Police forensic team was dispatched to the scene to gather evidence and reconstruct the events leading up to the fatal collision.

The accident caused significant disruption to traffic flow on the busy highway, which connects the states of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo along the coast. Officials urged drivers to exercise caution in the area.
