FNL President Nail Izmailov details support measures for financially troubled FC Kuban, including dialogue with regional authorities and payment deferrals, after the club missed a match.

The Football National League (FNL) has stepped in to address the severe financial difficulties plaguing FC Kuban. FNL President Nail Izmailov publicly acknowledged the club's precarious situation, confirming the league is actively implementing a package of financial and organizational support measures.

The crisis became publicly visible when Kuban failed to appear for their scheduled Round 11 match in the Leon Second League 'A' Silver Group against Dynamo Vladivostok. As a result, the club was handed a technical 0:3 defeat, a significant setback in their campaign.

Izmailov revealed that the club itself formally requested assistance from the league. A key part of this request involved facilitating a dialogue with the Governor of the Krasnodar Krai and the region's Minister of Sports to seek their support for the historic club. The FNL confirms it has initiated this crucial dialogue on Kuban's behalf.

Beyond high-level political engagement, the league is offering direct financial relief. The FNL's Presidium will consider a proposal to grant Kuban a deferral on its membership fee for the 2025/2026 Leon Second League 'A' season. This move aims to ease the immediate cash flow pressure on the struggling organization.

Furthermore, the FNL is prioritizing Kuban's prize money payments from the previous season. Izmailov stated the league will transfer these funds immediately after the Presidium officially approves the final distribution of prize money among all participating clubs. This accelerated payment is designed to provide a vital financial injection.

The FNL President expressed understanding of the gravity of the situation, stating, "We understand the situation is difficult." He concluded with a message of cautious optimism, expressing hope that through these combined efforts, the league and the club can work together to stabilize FC Kuban's position and secure its future.
