Frosinone clinched Serie A promotion with a 5-0 victory over Mantova. The final day saw Pescara and Spezia relegated, while Avellino qualified for the playoffs.

Frosinone Calcio has officially secured its return to Serie A, sealing automatic promotion with a dominant 5-0 home victory against Mantova at the Stadio Benito Stirpe. The comprehensive win cemented the club's second-place finish in the final Serie B standings, trailing only the already-promoted Venezia.

The match was effectively decided early. Calò opened the scoring in the 5th minute, and an own goal from Mantova's Castellini doubled the lead by the 12th minute. The hosts continued their onslaught in the second half, with Ghedjemis, Raimondo, and Koutsoupias adding three more goals to complete the rout and spark celebrations for the Ciociaro club's return to the top flight.

Elsewhere, the battle for the final promotion spot via playoffs saw Avellino secure a crucial 1-0 home win over Modena. A decisive own goal by Bagheria was enough to lock in 8th place for Avellino, earning them a spot in the postseason tournament. Modena also qualified for the playoffs, having finished in 6th position.

The relegation picture became painfully clear for two clubs. Pescara and Spezia played out a 1-1 draw at the Stadio Adriatico, a result that confirmed both teams' demotion to Serie C. Faraoni scored for the home side, with Artistico equalizing for Spezia 15 minutes from time, but the point was insufficient for either to avoid the drop.

Monza and Empoli shared the points in a 2-2 draw at the U-Power Stadium. While the result did little for Monza, it proved vital for Empoli. A brace from Shpendi, including a late goal, secured the point that guaranteed the Tuscan club's survival in Serie B. Petagna and Delli Carri were on target for the home side.

The final day also determined the playout participants. Bari, despite a dramatic 3-2 away victory at Catanzaro, will face a playout to avoid relegation. Goals from Moncini and a Piscopo brace overturned an early deficit, but the win was not enough to lift them out of the danger zone. Sudtirol, after a 1-1 draw with Juve Stabia, also find themselves in the playout spots.

In other results, Sampdoria's difficult season ended with a 1-0 loss at Reggiana, though the hosts were still relegated. Padova won a seven-goal thriller 4-3 at Cesena, while Virtus Entella beat Carrarese 2-1, with both teams confirming their Serie B status for next season.
