Inmet issues severe weather warning for São Paulo regions, prompting schedule adjustments for multiple Brazilian football teams due to dangerous wind

Weather Alert Forces Brazilian Football Schedule ChangesA severe weather alert issued by Brazil's National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) has prompted schedule adjustments for several football teams in the São Paulo state region.

The warning, classified as 'potential danger,' affects cities in the Vale do Paraíba, Bragança region, Serra da Mantiqueira, and northern São Paulo coast. The alert is valid from 12:00 PM Friday through 11:59 PM.

According to Inmet, wind speeds between 40 km/h and 60 km/h are expected, with a low risk of falling tree branches. The dangerous conditions have led to precautionary changes in football fixtures across the affected areas.

Multiple teams with scheduled matches in these regions have been impacted by the weather-related adjustments. The changes reflect standard safety protocols when severe weather threatens outdoor sporting events.

Authorities continue to monitor the situation, with further updates expected as the weather system moves through the region.
