Spartak Varna

Founded in 1918 in the Black Sea port city of Varna, PFC Spartak Varna is one of Bulgaria's oldest and most storied football clubs. Its origins trace back to the merger of two local sports clubs, "Shipka" and "Levski," with the new name chosen in solidarity with the Spartacist movement and the ideals of the Russian Revolution.
