Dukla Praha, officially known as FK Dukla Prague, was founded in 1948 as an army-backed club, initially named ATK Praha before adopting its current identity in 1956. The club emerged from the post-war Czechoslovak sports system, where military teams were established to foster athletic excellence. Dukla quickly became a dominant force in Czech football, symbolizing the power and discipline of the state’s sporting apparatus. Fan culture at Dukla is loyal but smaller than city rivals Sparta Prague and Slavia Prague.
