Gusttavo Lima later took to social media to explain the situation to his fans. He reported that the rain had soaked critical sound equipment, directly causing his microphone to burn out. Furthermore, the water exposure created a serious risk of electrical shock throughout the stage structure, which he described as having become unstable and swaying during the storm.

"It became impossible to finish the show. My microphone burned out, all the sound mixing consoles got wet," the singer stated in his message. "From the bottom of my heart, I'm here to apologize because we don't control the weather."

The interrupted concert was a key part of the Fespop 2026 program. The multi-day festival, running from May 7th to 10th, features a lineup of national music acts alongside amusement park rides, food vendors, and various exhibitions. The incident highlights the vulnerability of large-scale outdoor events to sudden and severe weather changes.
