Authorities executed a total of nine arrest warrants and 12 search and seizure warrants during the crackdown. A key outcome of the operation was the judicial blocking of assets and funds valued at approximately R$12 million, believed to be proceeds from the illicit drug trade.
The investigation revealed that the suspects are accused of transporting drugs from the state of Acre and distributing them within the territory of Paraíba. The probe was initiated following a major seizure of half a ton of skunk, a potent strain of cannabis, in the Mangabeira neighborhood of João Pessoa.
This operation underscores the ongoing efforts by Brazilian law enforcement to combat organized crime and disrupt the supply chains of illegal narcotics across state lines.
