Two Teens Arrested in Volta Redonda Drug Bust: Crack, Cocaine SeizedPolice in Volta Redonda, Rio de Janeiro, apprehended two teenagers on Tuesday, September 5th, following a drug seizure in the Candelária neighborhood. The suspects, aged 14 and 16, were caught after officers on patrol received a tip about individuals selling drugs in the area.
According to the Military Police (PM), the duo fled into a residence upon seeing the officers. Inside the location, authorities seized a significant quantity of illegal substances and related items. The haul included a bag with two walkie-talkies, four bottles of loló (a recreational inhalant), 17 rocks of crack cocaine, 19 bags of marijuana, 37 capsules of cocaine, and R$ 40 in cash.
During the police approach, the teenagers reportedly told the agents they were on "duty" or "shift." Both minors and all the seized material were taken to the police station in Volta Redonda.
The teenagers were charged with acts of infraction analogous to drug trafficking and association for trafficking. They are now at the disposal of the Justice system. The identities of those involved have not been disclosed.
