A 26-year-old woman was taken into custody in Urupês, São Paulo, on Thursday, May 7th, on suspicion of attempted homicide. The arrest stems from a violent incident where she allegedly used her car as a weapon against her husband's former girlfriend.

According to the Civil Police investigation, the suspect discovered recent conversations between her husband and his 40-year-old ex-partner. The messages indicated the pair had arranged to meet at a specific location on a dirt road in a rural area of the municipality.

Upon arriving at the designated meeting spot, the suspect reportedly found her husband and the other woman together, each on their own motorcycle. In a fit of jealousy, she allegedly accelerated her vehicle directly toward the victim's motorcycle.

The impact was severe, causing the car to overturn. More critically, the collision resulted in the victim being dragged by the vehicle. The force of the dragging caused the 40-year-old woman to lose consciousness before the car came to a stop.

Emergency services were called to the scene. The victim was found injured and unconscious. The suspect was apprehended by police at the location and was formally charged in flagrante delicto with attempted homicide.

The case highlights the dangerous escalation of domestic disputes and jealousy-fueled violence. The rural setting of the crime scene presented additional challenges for first responders.

The suspect remains in custody as the investigation continues. Authorities are processing the scene and gathering further evidence related to the sequence of events that led to the violent confrontation.
