The final day for the Aquece MS 2026 donation drive is this Saturday, May 9th. Drive-thru collection points in Campo Grande and Dourados will be open from 8 AM

Residents of Mato Grosso do Sul have their final opportunity this Saturday to support the Aquece MS 2026 campaign. The initiative's culminating 'Day D' event will feature drive-thru donation collection points operating simultaneously in the cities of Campo Grande and Dourados.

The drive-thru service will be available from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. In the state capital, Campo Grande, the collection point is located at the Comper supermarket on Avenida Brilhante, specifically at Rua Brilhante, number 2702, in the Vila Bandeirante neighborhood. For those in Dourados, the central collection hub will be at Praça Antônio João on Avenida Marcelino Pires.

The campaign accepts donations of winter clothing in good condition. This includes items such as coats, blankets, footwear, and other essential gear to help vulnerable families in the state cope with colder temperatures. Donations can be dropped off at the designated drive-thru points or at various fixed collection posts spread across the participating cities.

Beyond the main event, Campo Grande has also utilized 'solidarity racks' installed at several bus terminals throughout the campaign. These structures allow commuters to leave gently used clothing for others in need to take free of charge. The racks are available at the General Osório, Aero Rancho, Júlio de Castilho, Guaicurus, and Morenão terminals.

For those unable to visit a collection point, the Disk Coleta home pickup service remains an option until this Saturday. To schedule a pickup of your donations, you can call the dedicated phone line at (67) 99247-7878.

The Aquece MS campaign has a strong track record of community support. In the previous year, the initiative successfully collected over 22,000 winter items, which were distributed to assist 21 different institutions across various municipalities in Mato Grosso do Sul. The effort is organized with the support of TV Morena, the Rotary Club, the Brazilian Army, and several partner companies. Based on reporting from g1.
