Boa Vista Launches 2026 Yellow May Road Safety CampaignThe city of Boa Vista has officially launched its 2026 edition of the "Maio Amarelo" (Yellow May) campaign, a long-standing initiative focused on road safety awareness. The campaign began with an educational blitz and vehicle adhesion activities on Avenida Capitão Júlio Bezerra.
This year's theme is "No trânsito, enxergar o outro é salvar vidas" (In traffic, seeing others is saving lives), emphasizing the importance of empathy and attentiveness among all road users.
The program of activities is scheduled to continue until May 29, featuring actions in schools and companies throughout the municipality. The campaign is promoted by the city government through the Municipal Traffic Superintendence (SMTRAN) and marks its 11th consecutive year of operation.
