Several members of the Confederation of African Football’s (Caf) executive committee are demanding that the appointment of Jean-Jacques Ndala Ngambo as referee for the first leg of the Caf Champions League final be overturned.
The demand is based on Ndala's role as the referee in January’s Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) final, where Senegal walked off the pitch against Morocco, resulting in a legal dispute.
The Caf Champions League final first leg is the match in question, and the controversy highlights ongoing concerns within African football governance.
