In a significant recognition of its corporate culture, Brazilian financial cooperative Cresol has been awarded the title of Best Company to Work for in Agribusiness in the large enterprise category. The honor was bestowed by the renowned Great Place to Work (GPTW) consultancy, with the official ceremony taking place in São Paulo on May 5th.
This victory marks a historic repeat for Cresol, which also claimed the top spot in 2024. The achievement solidifies its status as a "consistent standout" in the sector, having received the prestigious award at least five times since the agribusiness ranking was inaugurated in 2019. Out of the eight editions of the GPTW Agro ranking, Cresol has been absent from the winner's list only once, in the inaugural year.
The cooperative's journey in the ranking has been one of steady ascent. After debuting in 10th place in 2020, Cresol has consistently climbed the ranks, culminating in its back-to-back first-place finishes. This year's competition was particularly fierce, with over 240 companies vying for recognition in the agribusiness category.
An analysis of Cresol's employee profile reveals a dynamic and growing workforce. The predominant age group among respondents is 26 to 34 years old, accounting for 48.8% of the staff. Furthermore, 87.2% of employees have been with the company for five years or less, a statistic that reflects the rapid expansion of the Cresol System, which now boasts 12,300 collaborators.
Key factors contributing to Cresol's high scores include exceptional opportunities for career growth and development, as well as a strong balance between personal and professional life. These elements were highlighted during a panel discussion featuring leaders from the awarded companies, where best practices were shared.
Cresol's Executive Director, Edemar Vodzicki, pointed to several core strengths that define the company's workplace environment. He emphasized the proximity and simple, horizontal communication practiced by leadership, which fosters a strong sense of belonging, engagement, and pride among employees. Vodzicki also noted the company's commitment to diversity and its robust training programs, particularly through the Cresol University, which provide tangible pathways for professional advancement.
This latest accolade adds to Cresol's growing list of recognitions. In 2025, the cooperative was also featured in the Great Place to Work Latin America ranking, further underscoring its commitment to creating a people-centric workplace. With over 30 years of history, more than 1.1 million members, and 1,048 relationship agencies across Brazil, Cresol continues to solidify its position as a leading cooperative financial institution focused on personalized service for individuals, businesses, and rural enterprises.
