The Ultramarines Bordeaux 1987 group has denounced invasive security checks on female supporters before the National 2 match between Bayonne and Bordeaux, calling the actions humiliating.

The Ultramarines Bordeaux 1987, a prominent supporters' group for the Girondins de Bordeaux, has issued a strong condemnation following the National 2 match against Bayonne. The collective alleges that female fans were subjected to what they describe as abusive and invasive security searches prior to the game, which Bordeaux won 2-1.

In a statement published on the social media platform X, the group detailed the nature of the complaints. They reported that multiple female supporters had come forward to describe searches conducted by both the private security personnel of the Aviron Bayonnais FC and local police forces. The alleged searches involved excessive palpations that extended to intimate areas of the body.

The Ultramarines characterized these actions as "humiliating and degrading," stating they are fundamentally unacceptable. The group emphasized that the physical integrity and personal privacy of all supporters, regardless of gender, must never be violated as a condition for entering a sporting venue. They declared they are taking these allegations very seriously and will not allow such incidents to be ignored.

The issue has gained further traction through the involvement of Her Game Too, an association dedicated to combating sexism in sports. According to reports from Ici Gironde, the organization received approximately twenty separate reports through its platform concerning the incidents at the Bayonne-Bordeaux match.

The situation appears to be escalating beyond public statements. Several of the affected female supporters have indicated their intention to file formal legal complaints regarding the treatment they received. This move suggests a desire for official investigation and accountability beyond the football community's internal response.

The match itself, a fixture in France's fourth-tier National 2 league, has now become overshadowed by these serious off-field allegations. The focus has shifted from the sporting result to the conduct of security operations and the safeguarding of fans, particularly women, attending football matches.
