The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (PMEF) 2026 will feature a major sports agenda with over 10 disciplines, including a hockey tournament dedicated to HC SKA's 80th anniversary and the 'Gold of Ladoga' cycling race.

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (PMEF), scheduled for June 3-6, will once again merge high-level business discussions with an extensive sports program. The PMEF-2026 Sports Games will showcase more than 10 different sports, with three dedicated sports sessions integrated into the forum's official business agenda.

The athletic festivities will kick off before the forum itself with the international multi-stage cycling race 'Gold of Ladoga.' This event will run from May 26 to 31, traversing the roads of the Republic of Karelia and the Leningrad Region before concluding with a grand finish in St. Petersburg. The race will feature competitions for top professionals alongside separate classifications for corporate teams and amateur men's and women's clubs.

A key highlight on the ice will be the 'Fonbet. Roscongress Cup' hockey tournament. This year's edition is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the legendary HC SKA. The 'Politics' team, captained by hockey icon Vyacheslav Fetisov, will be on the ice to defend their championship title from the previous year.

The forum's opening ceremony on June 3 will include the fourth annual 'Champion' sports and business award ceremony. This prestigious evening event will see sports legends honor business leaders for their significant support and contribution to the development of the sports industry.

Morning activities will blend sport with tourism and the city's scenic beauty. On June 4, participants and St. Petersburg residents will gather near St. Isaac's Cathedral for the traditional run through the city center, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. Later, on June 6, attendees can take in the sights from a different perspective during a morning paddleboard excursion along the city's canals.

Beyond the main program, participants can unwind after business sessions at various sporting arenas. The evening league table tennis tournament will be opened by Alexander Babakov, Vice-Speaker of the State Duma and President of the Russian Table Tennis Federation. The Roscongress Cup in padel will be hosted at one of St. Petersburg's new clubs. The traditional PMEF Cup in equestrian sports will feature the Olympic discipline of dressage, preceded by 14 qualifying tournaments held across multiple Russian regions with support from the Roscongress Foundation.

To discuss the forum's outcomes in an informal setting, golf, tennis, and sailing tournaments are also planned. Furthermore, two events will take place in Moscow as a prelude to the Games: the Cup of State Authorities in football and the Monte Carlo Radio Golf Cup, both scheduled for May 30.
