A comprehensive look at the decisive Premier League weekend ahead, detailing the scenarios for Champions League qualification and relegation survival involving Liverpool, Aston Villa, Leeds, and Forest.

The Premier League enters a pivotal weekend where the fates of several clubs will be decided, with both the race for Champions League football and the battle against relegation reaching a climax. Managers are holding their final press conferences as teams prepare for matches that could define their seasons.

Manchester United's victory over Liverpool last weekend confirmed their place in next season's Champions League, joining Arsenal and Manchester City as the three clubs who have already secured their spots in Europe's elite competition. This leaves just two guaranteed positions remaining, with Liverpool and Aston Villa currently occupying fourth and fifth place respectively.

Liverpool host Chelsea on Saturday, while Aston Villa travel to Burnley on Sunday. Both teams can mathematically secure Champions League qualification this weekend under specific conditions. If either Liverpool or Villa win their match and sixth-placed Bournemouth drop points away to Fulham on Saturday, their place in the top four will be confirmed. Even a draw would suffice for Liverpool or Villa if Bournemouth lose at Craven Cottage.

There remains an intriguing possibility that sixth place could still yield Champions League football. This scenario would unfold if Aston Villa finish fifth in the Premier League but go on to win the Europa League, thereby securing an additional qualification spot for English clubs in the process.

At the other end of the table, the relegation picture has become clearer following last week's results. Both Leeds and Nottingham Forest took significant steps toward safety with convincing 3-1 victories—Leeds defeating Burnley at home and Forest stunning Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Leeds can guarantee their Premier League survival with a win at Tottenham on Monday night, regardless of other results. However, they might not even need to take the field with their fate already sealed. If West Ham lose at home to Arsenal on Sunday, Leeds will be mathematically safe before their match kicks off. Should West Ham draw with Arsenal, Leeds would only need a point against Spurs to secure their status.

Nottingham Forest also have multiple pathways to safety. They will be safe if they beat Newcastle at home on Sunday and West Ham fail to win against Arsenal later that day. Alternatively, a draw against Newcastle would be sufficient if Arsenal manage to defeat West Ham at the London Stadium.
