Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones' agent reportedly traveled to Milan for initial talks with Inter, as contract extension negotiations with the Reds have hit a snag. The 25-year-old's current deal expires in 2027.

The future of Liverpool's homegrown talent Curtis Jones is generating significant transfer speculation. According to reports from Italian transfer expert Nicolo Schira, the agent for the 25-year-old midfielder recently traveled to Milan to explore a potential move to Inter.

The meeting, which took place approximately two weeks ago, is described as having been a positive initial discussion. While the specific clubs involved in the talks were not officially named, the context points strongly toward Inter's interest in securing the England international's services.

Jones, who has been with Liverpool since joining their academy at the age of nine, has developed into a versatile first-team regular. He made his senior debut in an FA Cup third-round match against Wolverhampton Wanderers in January 2019 and has since amassed 225 official appearances for the club, contributing 21 goals and 25 assists.

This season has been particularly busy for Jones, who has featured in 46 matches across all competitions. His adaptability has been on display, with manager Arne Slot utilizing him in a right-back role on occasion, showcasing his tactical flexibility.

The driving force behind the transfer rumors appears to be a stalled contract negotiation. Jones' current contract with Liverpool is set to expire in June 2027. Fellow transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano reported in April that discussions over an extension had reached an impasse, alerting several top European clubs, including Inter, to his potential availability.

This potential departure would add to a significant period of squad transition at Anfield. The club has already confirmed that star forward Mohamed Salah and defender Andrew Robertson will leave at the end of the season. Furthermore, reports suggest goalkeeper Alisson is also on the move, with a transfer to Juventus being discussed.
