A one-year-old boy came home from a municipal daycare in Guarujá with multiple bite marks and bruises on two occasions. His mother accuses the facility of negligence, leading to a teacher's dismissal and an official investigation.

A serious case of alleged negligence has emerged from a daycare center in Guarujá, on the coast of São Paulo. A one-year-old boy named Felipe returned home on two separate occasions bearing physical injuries, including bite marks and bruises on his head and body, according to his mother.

The child's mother, Letícia Silva Oliveira, 33, reported that she enrolled her son at the Neic Criart daycare, a municipal unit, in January. The first alarming incident occurred on March 26th, when she picked up Felipe and discovered four distinct bite marks across his body. She stated she received no prior notification from the school about any incident.

Following this discovery, Letícia expressed significant fear and apprehension about continuing to send her child to the facility. She admitted to keeping Felipe home for an extended period due to her concerns for his safety. The situation escalated when a second incident resulted in the child returning home with bruises on his head.

The mother's accusations center on the daycare's failure to inform her of the events that led to her son's injuries. She contends that the unit demonstrated negligence in its duty of care and communication. The lack of transparency from the institution has been a central point of her complaint.

In response to the allegations, the Guarujá Municipal Department of Education (Seduc) confirmed it has received the formal complaint. The department stated it has immediately initiated all necessary protocols to investigate the facts in conjunction with the administration of the Neic Criart center.

As a direct result of the incidents, the daycare's administration took action. According to Letícia, an advisor from the unit later contacted her to inform that the teacher responsible for Felipe's group had been dismissed from her position. This step was taken following the reported events.

The case highlights ongoing concerns about child safety and accountability within early childhood education facilities. The official investigation by the municipal education secretariat is now underway to determine the full circumstances and ensure such incidents are prevented in the future.
