The Ribeirão Preto and Franca areas are gearing up for a packed weekend filled with diverse entertainment options, from major music festivals to family-oriented cultural events. Here’s a breakdown of what’s happening.

The Ribeirão Rodeo Music celebrates its 20th anniversary with a star-studded lineup. On Friday, the arena will host performances by Ana Castela, Zezé Di Camargo & Luciano, Léo Foguete, and Diego & Victor Hugo. Saturday’s schedule features João Bosco & Vinícius, Nattan, Serestão do Zé, and the headline act, Gusttavo Lima. The event also includes traditional bull riding competitions starting at 8 PM. It takes place at the Parque Permanente de Exposições, with tickets starting at R$89 for half-price entry.

For blues enthusiasts, the Arena Blues Festival marks its 10th edition with an impressive roster. International guests Tia Carroll and Raphael Wressnig will share the stage with Brazilian blues acts like Blues Beatles (featuring guitarist Fred Sunwalk) and Nil Guimarães. The festival utilizes three stages—the main Arena stage, a Jazz stage, and a Welcome stage for opening and closing acts. It runs from 4 PM to 10 PM on both Friday and Saturday at the Teatro de Arena, with half-price tickets from R$45.

The beloved pagode group Sorriso Maroto will perform in Franca on Friday night. With nearly three decades of history, the band promises to deliver their classic hits such as “Sinais” and “1 Metro e 65.” The show starts at 9 PM at Villa Eventos, with tickets beginning at R$85. The evening will also feature the band Amigos.com.

Cultural offerings extend to classical music with the Orquestra Sinfônica de Ribeirão Preto. On Saturday, they present the next installment of their “Concertos Internacionais - Dona Nobis Pacem” series at Theatro Pedro II, featuring works by Finzi, Copland, and Mozart under conductor Reginaldo Nascimento. On Sunday morning, the orchestra hosts a free “Juventude tem Concerto” event aimed at introducing new audiences to concert music, with a solo by contrabaixista Marcio Maia.

Additional highlights include singer Simone Guimarães presenting her show “Caminhos Abertos” at Teatro Minaz on Friday, and the Quarteto Enredado launching their new album “Fantasia Sertaneja” at Sesc Franca. For families, the Feirinha Mirim on Saturday offers literary workshops and creative activities for children at Oficina Corisco. The weekend also features the play “Valetim Valentinho” at Sesc Franca on Sunday and a free cello performance by musician Boaz at Santa Maria Outlet on Saturday.
