Krasnodar goalkeeper Stanislav Agkacev became the hero, saving two penalties in a dramatic shootout to win the Russian Cup final against Dynamo Moscow after a goalless draw.

In a tense and dramatic Russian Cup final, FC Krasnodar emerged victorious over Moscow's Dynamo, claiming the trophy in a penalty shootout that will be remembered for the heroics of their goalkeeper. The match, part of the Path of the RPL Fonbet Russian Cup, ended 0-0 after regular time, sending the decision to spot-kicks.

The shootout was a rollercoaster of emotions. Dynamo Moscow, in their white and blue kits, initially showed composure, successfully converting their first four penalty attempts. The pressure mounted on Krasnodar, but their shot-stopper, Stanislav Agkacev, rose to the occasion when it mattered most.

The turning point came during the fifth round of penalties. Dynamo's star striker, Konstantin Tyukavin, stepped up to take what could have been a decisive kick. However, Agkacev read his intentions perfectly, diving to parry the powerful shot away. The relief for Krasnodar was palpable, but the drama was far from over.

Immediately following that save, Krasnodar's midfielder Douglas Augusto had the chance to put his team ahead. His effort, however, crashed against the crossbar, denying the home side an immediate advantage and keeping the shootout level. The tension inside the Ozon Arena in Krasnodar was electric.

Dynamo's sixth penalty was confidently dispatched by Brazilian defender David Ricardo, putting the pressure squarely back on the hosts. Krasnodar answered, keeping their nerve to score and force a sudden-death scenario. The seventh round proved to be the final act.

Dynamo's defender Juan Cáceres took the responsibility for his team's seventh kick. Agkacev, the man of the moment, guessed correctly once again, this time using his foot to block the attempt. That save proved to be the match-winner. Krasnodar's subsequent takers held their nerve, converting all remaining penalties to secure a 6-5 shootout victory.

The entire final was officiated by referee Artyom Chistyakov from Azov. The victory marks a significant achievement for Krasnodar, lifting the prestigious national cup trophy in front of their home fans after a hard-fought battle that showcased defensive resilience and clutch goalkeeping.
