CSKA Moscow supporters used pyrotechnics following their 0-1 defeat to Spartak in the Russian Cup final. The match concluded the Path of Regions tournament for the 2025/2026 season.

Following the conclusion of the Path of Regions final in the Fonbet Russian Cup, fans of CSKA Moscow were observed using pyrotechnic devices in the stands. The display occurred after their team suffered a narrow 0-1 defeat against city rivals Spartak Moscow in the season-ending cup match.

The final match marked the end of the Path of Regions tournament for the 2025/2026 campaign. Spartak secured the victory with a single goal, denying CSKA the chance to defend their title as the reigning cup holders.

On the road to the final, Spartak had previously overcome Zenit St. Petersburg in a dramatic penalty shootout. That earlier round match ended 0-0 after regular time, with Spartak advancing 7-6 on penalties. CSKA, meanwhile, earned their place in the final by defeating Krylya Sovetov with a convincing 5-2 scoreline.

Elsewhere in the competition, the Path of the RPL will see Dynamo Moscow face Krasnodar in their final. The first leg of that tie concluded in a goalless 0-0 draw, setting up an intriguing second leg.

CSKA entered this season's final as the defending champions of the Russian Cup. In the previous edition's final, the army club defeated Rostov. That match also ended 0-0 in regulation time, with CSKA ultimately prevailing 4-3 in the ensuing penalty shootout to lift the trophy.

The use of pyrotechnics by supporters is a common, though often controversial, element of fan culture in Russian football. Such incidents typically draw attention from league and stadium authorities.
