Coronel Ricardo Lopes de Souza Salomão is the new Commander of Interior Policing-7 (CPI-7), overseeing 78 municipalities in São Paulo state, effective April 29.

New Commander Appointed for São Paulo Interior Police: April 29 StartA new leadership change has been announced for the Polícia Militar in the interior of São Paulo state. Coronel Ricardo Lopes de Souza Salomão has been officially named as the new Commander of the Policiamento do Interior-7 (CPI-7).

The appointment was formalized by a decree from Governor Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicanos), which was published in the Diário Oficial do Estado. The change in command is effective as of April 29.

In his new role, Coronel Salomão will be responsible for overseeing police operations across 78 municipalities within the interior region of São Paulo. He succeeds Coronel Fábio Sérgio do Amaral, who previously held the position.

The CPI-7 is a key division of the state's military police force, tasked with maintaining public order and security outside the capital metropolitan area.
