Lorient striker Pablo Pagis confirms desire to leave this summer after a career-best 10-goal season. The 23-year-old prefers a move within Ligue 1, mentioning Lens and Rennes as potential fits, with a valuation of €10 million.

Lorient forward Pablo Pagis has made his intentions clear: he is looking to move on from the club this summer. The 23-year-old attacker, who enjoyed his most prolific season to date with ten goals, believes the time is right for a new challenge.

In a recent interview, Pagis acknowledged the growing interest in his services. He described the attention from ambitious clubs as flattering, viewing it as a direct reward for his consistent performances on the pitch. The player emphasized that the current trend points towards a departure in the upcoming transfer window.

When discussing his preferred destination, Pagis expressed a strong inclination to remain in France's top flight. He stated a clear preference for Ligue 1, a league he knows well and feels comfortable in. However, he did not completely rule out a move abroad, noting that a proposal from a top-table foreign club could also be an attractive option.

While Pagis did not name specific clubs, he did mention that a move to either Lens or Rennes could be a logical fit. This connection is understandable, given his family background; his father, Mickaël Pagis, had a notable career in French football, including stints at Rennes and Olympique de Marseille.

From a financial perspective, the young striker's market value is estimated at around ten million euros by the specialized website Transfermarkt. This figure provides a benchmark for potential negotiations. For context, his former Lorient teammate, Éli Junior Kroupi, was sold to Bournemouth last season for a fee in the region of thirteen million euros.

The final decision, however, will also depend on the expectations of his current club, FC Lorient. The Breton side will need to agree on a transfer fee and terms with any interested party. As the summer window approaches, all eyes will be on where the talented forward will land next.
