A tragic motorcycle accident in Goiânia has claimed the life of 20-year-old Rayssa Caetano Pereira da Silva. The incident occurred on Thursday, May 7, in the Residencial Monte Pascoal neighborhood. According to authorities, Rayssa lost control of the motorcycle she was operating, veered onto a sidewalk, and collided with construction debris.

Emergency services from the Corpo de Bombeiros responded to the scene. Upon arrival, they found Rayssa unconscious and experiencing irregular breathing. First responders performed cardiac resuscitation efforts for approximately 20 minutes in an attempt to save her life. Unfortunately, her death was confirmed at the location of the crash.

Following the confirmation of her passing, Rayssa's body was transported to the Instituto Médico Legal (IML) for examination. The Polícia Civil has initiated an investigation into the specific causes and circumstances surrounding the fatal accident. Delegado Paulo Ludovico, head of the specialized traffic crimes unit (DICT), provided details on the initial findings.

Rayssa was laid to rest on Friday, May 8. A funeral service was held at the Segunda Igreja Batista do Conjunto Vera Cruz in Goiânia, followed by burial at 2 p.m. in the Vale do Cerrado cemetery. The community and her family are mourning the sudden loss of the young woman.
