Salvador adds 2 new bus lines on May 9, connecting Trobogy and Canabrava neighborhoods to Flamboyant Station. Line 1353 is among the new routes.

Salvador's public transportation network is set for a significant boost this weekend. The city's Municipal Mobility Secretariat (Semob) has announced that two new bus lines will begin operations on Saturday, May 9th, enhancing connectivity for residents in the Trobogy and Canabrava neighborhoods.

The expansion aims to strengthen the link between these residential areas and the Flamboyant Station, a key hub in the city's transit system. This development is part of ongoing efforts to improve urban mobility and provide more efficient travel options for the population.

One of the highlighted additions is Line 1353, which will operate between Jardim Nova Esperança and Flamboyant. The route is designed to serve commuters traveling from the Jardim Nova Esperança area, providing a direct connection to the station.

The outbound journey for Line 1353 will originate on Rua Simone Barradas. The bus will then travel along Avenida Aliomar Baleeiro, Rua Mocambo, Rua Aymoré Moreira, and Avenida Luis Viana (Paralela) before arriving at Flamboyant Station.

For the return trip to the neighborhood, the route will take a slightly different path. From the terminal, the bus will proceed via Rua Procurador Nelson Castro and Rua Artêmio Castro Valente before rejoining Avenida Aliomar Baleeiro and concluding its circuit back at Rua Simone Barradas.

The introduction of these new lines is expected to reduce travel times and overcrowding on existing routes. It provides a more direct service for residents who previously had to rely on multiple transfers to reach the Flamboyant Station and its connecting services.

This service expansion underscores the city's commitment to adapting its public transport infrastructure to meet the needs of growing neighborhoods. The changes are scheduled to take effect this coming Saturday, offering immediate benefits to the local community.
