Baltic's head coach Andrey Talalaev reveals his intense desire for trophies, emphasizing that medals are remembered forever. His team currently sits fifth in the RPL standings.

Andrey Talalaev, the head coach of FC Baltic, has made his ambitions crystal clear. In a recent interview, he expressed a deep hunger for tangible success, stating he is ready to fight tooth and nail for medals and a cup. For him, a mid-table finish is forgettable, but a podium place leaves a lasting legacy.

Talalaev reflected on his team's performance, highlighting that their quality has not declined since the autumn. He pointed to specific results as evidence of their competitive edge, including a spring victory over CSKA and a hard-fought draw against Krasnodar, where they conceded a late equalizer in the 93rd minute.

The coach's philosophy centers on motivation through ambition. He believes his players do not need extra incentives; their primary goal is to perform at their peak strength. Talalaev has communicated to his squad that a fifth or sixth-place finish will not be remembered, but winning bronze medals would be an achievement they could proudly show their grandchildren for a lifetime.

This drive comes as Baltic currently occupies fifth place in the Russian Premier League table. The team has accumulated 46 points, putting them four points behind the fourth-placed side, Lokomotiv Moscow, as the season progresses.

Talalaev also mentioned that the club has allowed some players to depart, noting that those individuals understand the situation. The focus remains firmly on the collective goal of securing a historic finish for the Kaliningrad-based club.
