Young Turkish driver Alp Hasan Aksoy, racing for Prema Racing, aims for podium finishes as he begins his Formula 4 campaign at the Misano circuit this weekend.

Turkey's only representative in international formula racing, Alp Hasan Aksoy, is set to embark on his Formula 4 journey this weekend at the Misano World Circuit. The young Prema Racing driver carries the hopes of his nation as he prepares for a demanding schedule of races, with a clear objective in mind: to stand on the podium.

Aksoy enters the weekend after a period of intense preparation. He described undergoing a rigorous cycle of testing, planning, analysis, and repetition to hone his skills. The driver expressed his readiness to translate that hard work into on-track performance, stating his desire to once again make his country proud while consistently aiming for top-three finishes.

The race weekend features a unique format with drivers divided into three groups: A, B, and C. The specific group assignments for each competitor, including Aksoy, will be finalized today. This structure dictates the race schedule, with each driver competing in two of the four planned races.

The action kicks off on Saturday, May 9. The first race is scheduled for 12:30 TSİ and will feature drivers from Groups B and C. Later that day, at 18:15 TSİ, the second race will see Groups A and B take to the track. The competition continues on Sunday, May 10, with a third race at 09:30 TSİ involving Groups A and C. The weekend's finale is set for 14:50 TSİ on Sunday.

The Misano circuit is known for its fast and technical character, presenting a significant challenge for the young drivers in the field. For Aksoy, the goal across the packed weekend—which includes test sessions, practice, qualifying, and the races themselves—is to deliver a consistent and strong performance. Achieving this would mark a crucial step forward in his season-long ambitions.
