UFMT launches disciplinary probe into law students suspected of creating and circulating a list classifying female students as 'rapable,' condemning violence

UFMT Investigates Students Over Misogynistic 'Rapable' ListThe Federal University of Mato Grosso (UFMT) has initiated a formal Administrative Disciplinary Process (PAD) to investigate students from its law course in Cuiabá. The probe centers on their suspected involvement in creating and disseminating a list that classified fellow students as 'estupráveis' (rapable).

In an official statement, the university strongly repudiated any manifestation of violence, misogyny, and violation of human rights. The action underscores the institution's commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful academic environment.

The investigation aims to determine the extent of the students' participation and to apply appropriate disciplinary measures in accordance with university regulations and Brazilian law.
