Brazilian influencer Vitória Reis da Silva is free under strict conditions after a judge revoked her detention in a major 'jogo do tigrinho' investigation in

In a significant legal development, Brazilian influencer Vitória Reis da Silva has been granted conditional freedom. The 26-year-old was a central figure in a police investigation into a multi-million dollar scheme involving the 'jogo do tigrinho,' a popular but controversial online betting game in Roraima.

The decision to revoke her preventive detention was handed down by Judge Daniela Schirato of the Narcotics and Organized Crime Court. The ruling follows a request from her defense attorney, Carlos Villa Real, and was supported by the Public Ministry.

While free, Vitória Reis faces a stringent set of court-mandated restrictions. She is required to wear an electronic ankle monitor and is completely banned from accessing or using any social media platforms. Her movements are also severely limited.

The court has imposed a curfew, requiring her to be at her residence from 10 PM to 6 AM, as well as on weekends, holidays, and her days off. Furthermore, she is prohibited from leaving the city of Boa Vista, where the investigation is centered.

Her defense successfully argued that she poses no flight risk, citing her stable employment and academic pursuits. Since 2024, Vitória has worked as an advisor for the Boa Vista City Hall and is also regularly attending university to study Pharmacy.

The judge acknowledged the seriousness of the alleged crimes but concluded that maintaining her pre-trial detention was disproportionate at this stage of the proceedings, especially when compared to the status of other defendants investigated in the same case.

This case highlights the ongoing legal scrutiny surrounding digital influencers who promote online gambling platforms in Brazil. The 'jogo do tigrinho' has been the target of multiple police operations nationwide.
