The Russian Hockey Federation has named the U20 national team roster for a preparation camp ahead of the Future Cup tournament in Novosibirsk, featuring players from top MHL clubs.

The Russian national team management has officially unveiled the roster for the Under-20 youth hockey squad as they begin preparations for the upcoming Future Cup. The tournament is scheduled to take place from May 14th to 17th in the city of Novosibirsk.

The selected group includes a trio of goaltenders tasked with guarding the net. The call-up list features Dmitry Borichev from Loko-76, Kirill Dubrovin representing Krasnaya Armiya, and Marat Sabitov who plays for Chayka.

A strong defensive corps has been assembled from various MHL franchises. The blue line will be patrolled by Mikhail Gamzakov from Avto, Kurban Liimatov and Yelisey Ryabykin from MHK Dynamo Moscow, Maxim Moiseyev from Omskie Yastreby, Konstantin Nikitin from Irbis, Bogdan Pestretsov and Vladimir Shtyrkhunov from Krasnaya Armiya, Nikita Poltavchuk from Stalnye Lisy, Nikita Tyurin from MHK Spartak, Yaroslav Fedoseyev from Belye Medvedi, and Dmitry Shutyayev from Akademiya Mikhaylova.

The forward lines boast significant talent from across the league. The attacking unit includes Ivan Arkhipov, Maxim Ilyin, and Mikhail Melikov from MHK Dynamo Moscow. They are joined by Matvey Gushchin and Danil Sysoyev from Stalnye Lisy, Aleksandrov Zharovsky from Salavat Yulayev, Dmitry Isayev from Avto, Askar Kamalov from Irbis, Nikita Koltsov and Daniil Petrenko from Tolpar, Vladimir Korzin and Nikita Khariyonov from Omskie Yastreby, Artemiy Kulagin from Belye Medvedi, German Suzdorf from SKA-1946, Viktor Fyodorov from Chayka, and Yevgeny Yakunin from MHK Spartak.

It is noted that several players, specifically Mikhail Gamzakov, Nikita Tyurin, Dmitry Isayev, and Yevgeny Yakunin, will only join the national team camp if their respective club teams do not advance to the Kharlamov Cup finals.

The coaching staff responsible for guiding this young team has also been confirmed. The head coach is Andrey Mironov, assisted by coaches Igor Shchadilov, Aleksey Babintsev, and Aleksey Tereshchenko. The goaltending coach is Maxim Sokolov, and the physical training coach is Aleksandr Kofanov.

The training regimen for the camp will be comprehensive, featuring on-ice sessions, workouts in the gymnasium, and activities in the game hall. A key part of the preparation includes a control match against the Russian U18 junior national team. The squad is set to depart for Novosibirsk on May 13th, with their opening tournament match scheduled for May 14th against that same U18 team.
