The Utah Mammoth have signed former Dinamo Minsk forward Egor Borikov to a three-year entry-level contract starting in the 2026-27 season. The 20-year-old had a productive KHL campaign.

The Utah Mammoth have officially added a promising young talent to their future roster. The club announced the signing of forward Egor Borikov to a three-year entry-level contract. This agreement is set to take effect at the beginning of the 2026-2027 season, marking a significant step in the player's North American career.

Borikov, who is 20 years old, is coming off a solid season in the Kontinental Hockey League. During the regular season, he appeared in 59 games for his former club, accumulating a total of 30 points. His production included 16 goals and 14 assists, demonstrating his ability to contribute offensively. He also added 2 points, both goals, in seven playoff appearances.

The forward's previous team was the Minsk-based club Dinamo. Borikov had previously made a statement regarding his departure from the Belarusian organization, paving the way for this new opportunity in Utah.

Utah's General Manager, Bill Armstrong, expressed strong enthusiasm about the acquisition. Armstrong highlighted Borikov's skill set, describing him as a strong two-way winger with significant offensive potential. The GM specifically praised the player's productive season in the KHL, indicating that the organization sees a high ceiling for his development.

This signing represents a classic entry-level contract for a young player transitioning from a top European league. The three-year term gives the Mammoth organization ample time to evaluate Borikov's progress and integrate him into their system. The delayed start date allows the player to continue developing before making the jump.

For Utah, adding a player with Borikov's KHL experience and offensive numbers is a strategic move for future depth. The club is clearly investing in young, skilled forwards who have already proven themselves against professional competition overseas. The management's comments suggest they view him as a core part of their long-term plans.

The move also signifies the end of Borikov's tenure with Dinamo Minsk. His departure from the KHL club was confirmed prior to this announcement, and the entry-level contract with Utah formalizes the next chapter of his professional journey. All eyes will now be on his continued development leading up to the 2026-27 season.
