Weather Alert Prompts Schedule Changes for Rio Grande do Norte Football Matches
Football authorities have been forced to adjust match schedules in Rio Grande do Norte after Brazil's National Institute of Meteorology (INMET) issued a yellow weather alert for the region.
The alert, which covers 115 cities across the state, is valid for the entire Friday and warns of intense rainfall conditions. According to INMET's forecast, the region can expect precipitation levels between 20-30 millimeters per hour, with daily accumulations potentially reaching up to 50 millimeters.
In addition to the heavy rains, wind speeds of 40-60 kilometers per hour are expected, creating challenging conditions for outdoor sporting events.
The weather warning has affected multiple teams and matches scheduled across the league, with organizers prioritizing player and spectator safety in their decision-making process.
Clubs and fans are advised to monitor official communications for updated match times and venue information as the weather situation develops throughout the day.
