Stade Lausanne-Ouchy, often abbreviated as SLO, is a Swiss football club based in the historic city of Lausanne, in the canton of Vaud. The club was founded in 2000 through the merger of two long-standing local sides: Stade Lausanne (founded in 1901) and FC Ouchy (founded in 1906). This merger aimed to consolidate footballing talent in the southern part of the city, creating a stronger identity for the district of Ouchy, a picturesque lakeside neighborhood on Lake Geneva. While the club is relatively young, its roots stretch back over a century, and it quickly established itself as a competitive force in Swiss lower-league football. SLO plays its home matches at the Stade Olympique de la Pontaise, a multi-sport arena built for the 1954 FIFA World Cup.
