Campina Grande city hall has selected 361 candidates for São João 2026. They will work in urban cleaning and support roles. See the schedule for document

The city government of Campina Grande has officially announced the list of 361 individuals chosen to work during the São João 2026 festival. These professionals will be deployed across key operational areas to support the massive event.

The selected candidates will be assigned to roles in urban cleaning, support inspection, and the Recicla São João recycling program. This workforce is essential to manage the significant increase in public activity and waste during the traditional June festival period.

According to the Secretariat of Urban Services and Environment (Sesuma), this reinforcement is necessary to maintain city services when the population swells with visitors. The São João festival in Campina Grande is one of the largest in Brazil, drawing millions of attendees.

Successful applicants must now complete the next step by submitting their documentation in person. The secretariat has set specific dates for different positions to streamline the process.

Women selected as General Services Assistants are scheduled to appear on Wednesday, May 13th, at 9:00 AM. Their male counterparts for the same role must report on Thursday, May 14th, also at 9:00 AM.

Those chosen for the Support Inspector position have their documentation day on Friday, May 15th, at 9:00 AM. All meetings will take place at the Sesuma headquarters located at Rua Vigolvino Vanderlei, 535, in the Conceição neighborhood.

The city administration has issued a clear instruction: only the 361 selected candidates should attend at this time. Individuals on the reserve list are not required to present themselves now and will be contacted separately if needed.

This staffing announcement is a key logistical milestone in the preparations for what is expected to be another record-breaking São João celebration in 2026. Based on reporting from g1.
