Resende Police Dismantle Illegal Vehicle Chop Shop, Arrest SuspectThe Civil Police of Resende, Rio de Janeiro, successfully dismantled an illegal vehicle chop shop and arrested a suspect during an operation on Thursday, the 7th.
The suspect identified himself as the owner of the establishment. During the raid, officers discovered a vehicle engine suspected of being tampered with, along with the rear window of a car that had been reported stolen in the city of Rio de Janeiro in February 2024.
Additionally, numerous other automotive parts lacking proof of legitimate origin were seized from the premises.
The arrested individual was transported to the Resende police station, where the case was formally registered. He will subsequently be transferred to the prison system to remain at the disposal of the Justice system pending further legal proceedings.
